I would like to suggest a neighborhood walk-thru for the Board to review Covenant violations-especially cars being left in the streets ovenight. My street has cars parked in the street everynight and I see other in the community s well. I would like to suggest sending a violation letter or firm letter from the Board to the obvious violators and also to keep the offense from becoming  major issue. Please reply. Thanks.

Our streets are County roads and the HOA has no jurisdiction to issue "violation letter". Cars may be legally parked in road otherwise all lawn maintenance trucks, movers, furniture delivery, etc. would be in violation too. Rules apply to all vehicles all of the time. If this was a gated community with private roads the HOA could have such a rule but the homeowners would also be responsible for all road maintenance. Smile

Our Covenants stat in Article VIII Restrictions, Section 4 that 'no car may parked overnight for an extended period of time'. I understand that when someone has company staying over or having service done that car(s) or service vehicles may need to park in the street due to driveway restrictions. I'm just addressing the fact that when residents continue to see car(s) parked in the street overnight all the time-it can become a pandora's box. I think a simple Covenant reminder letter is all that is needed.
